Mr. Wesley ( Wes ) E. Speake, 85, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 22, 2004. Mr. Speake is survived by his step children, Rita Rogers, Max Aragon and wife, Bertha, Veronica Aragon-Loureiro and husband, Luis, Fernando Aragon and wife, Marna; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and special friends, Roy and Mary Herrera. Mr. Speake was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. A visitation for Mr. Speake will be Wednesday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Manuel Montoya and wife, Eileen. A final visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave. NE with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. A Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be, Eric Bravo, Johnny Saavedra, Luis Loureiro, Anthony Martinez and Joshua Sanchez.
