Obituary for FLORES

Richard. Mr. Richard Flores, 75, a resident of Albuquerque passed away at home in the loving arms of his family on August 20, 2004. Mr. Flores is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Madge F. Flores; four children, Irene Valdez and husband, Robert, Donna Gunderson and husband, Glen, Felipe Flores, and Oscar Flores and wife, Christine; eleven grandchildren, Sharon, Sheila, Rick, Adrian, Erika, Pablo, Dominic, Merlinda, Matthew, Gabriel and DeeAnna; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Flores was preceded in death by his son, Paul Flores. Mr. Flores was a member of the Catholic Church, and a Veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was the past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and an Usher at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A visitation for Mr. Flores will be on Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5411 Fortuna NW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by the Legion of Mary. Final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 10:30am until 11:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00am by Father Gene Gries. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, at 1:30pm. Pallbearers will be Robert Valdez, Glen Gunderson, Rick Ortega, Adrian Ortega, Dominic Flores, and Matthew Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Gus Vigil, Eric Vigil, Jeff Vigil and Mark Vigil. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW 243-7861
