James Howard Doughty, a resident of Edgewood, passed away on August 20, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Sydney of Edgewood, NM; daughter, Kara Crotta and husband, Peter of Tijeras; son, Dennis of Sauharita, AZ; Brothers, Jerry and wife, Pat of Lawton Oklahoma, and John and wife, Deborah of Tulsa Oklahoma; and sister, Jan Champion and husband, Jerry of Tulsa Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Jessica and Morgan Crotta of Tijeras, NM. James was employed by the Albuquerque Public Schools as a teacher, coach, and administrator and was a founding member of the Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal in Edgewood. Memorial services will be held at the Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal, 367 State Rd 344, Edgewood, NM on Wednesday, August 25, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at 3:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal playground fund, P.O. Box 1090 Edgewood, NM 87015.
