Johnny Abraham Tafoya, Jr., age 24, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 18, 2004. He was born on June 19, 1980 in Las Vegas, NM to Johnny M. Tafoya Sr. He was united in marriage to Charity Astle - Tafoya on August 19, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV. He was employed as a technician for Nobel Satellite Country. He was a guy that had a huge heart and was very loved and very loving to others. His hobbies included computers, roller blading, camping, fishing, weightlifting, and electrical work, and he loved his dog, Pharaoh. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Ann Tafoya; grandfather, Jose Andres Tafoya; grandparents: Eusebio Jaramillo and Lilia Jaramillo; aunt: Peggy Saiz; great uncles, Ben Soza and Richard Catanach. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the Rogers Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Vincent Sanchez presiding. Cremation will take place following services. He will lie in state at the Rogers Chapel all day Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Tafoya family, 727 El Creston Circle, Las Vegas, NM 87701.
