Obituary for MCCOMAS

Edwin L McComas was born in Osceola, IA on February 21, 1929 and died in Albuquerque on August 16, 2004 from respiratory complications after a prolonged illness. He attended Iowa State University where he was a member of Theta Chi social fraternity. He married Beth Crouse in Earlham, IA on June 20, 1951. Ed served four years in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict with half of that duty overseas. Following his military service, he worked in sales and promotion for Hills Bros. Coffee for many years. A resident of Albuquerque for 32 years, Ed is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beth; two sons, Randy of Albuquerque and Greg of Salt Lake City, UT; their wives, Monica and Vilija; and grandchildren, Joshua, Shannon, Rima, and Kyra. His cremains will be interred at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe where there will be a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2004. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Methodist Church in Alb., or a charity of your choice.
