Flora Martha Aldering, 81, of Albuquerque, died Monday, August 16, 2004. She is survived by her life-long partner of over 47 years, Leon Humphrey; sisters, Barbara Turner of Maine and Katherine Eaton of Albany, NY; brothers, George W. and wife, Blanche "Betty" of Poestenkill, NY, Raymond Eaton and wife, Barbara of East Greenbush, NY, and Amazon Eaton and wife, Judy of Averill Park, NY; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. She is also survived by her family-by-love, Diane Martin, Marion Subjenski, Linda Ray and family, Lorraine Gibson and family, and Martha Barralles and family. She was married to Robert J. Aldering on June 19, 1944, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1953. Flora was born December 5, 1922 in Albany, NY. She was a member of St. Charles de Borromeo Catholic Church and a Veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy from 1943-1945. Friends may visit on Thursday, August 19, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Mrs. Aldering will be transported to Albany, NY for funeral services and interment at Chestnut Lane Cemetery, located in New Baltimore, NY. Flora will be deeply missed.
