Obituary for CHAMPLIN

John W. Champlin, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, died Sunday, August 8, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marcella "Sally" Champlin of Albuquerque; son, Mark Champlin and wife, Diana of Albuquerque; daughter, Nancy Quellette and husband, Michael of Antonito, CO; grandchildren, Glen Champlin and wife, Jennifer, Jacinda Champlin, Carrie Ouellette, and Chance Ouellette; and great-grandchild, Brett Champlin. Mr. Champlin worked for 10 years with APS as a 6th grade teacher. He was a Junior High Basketball coach for 3 1/2 years in Gas City, IN and worked 12 years for the State of New Mexico as a Social Worker. He was a WWII Veteran where he served in the 512th Field Artillery Battalion of the Third Army. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Monday, August 23, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Las Colinas Retirement village the Los Amigos Lounge, 500 Paisano Rd. NE. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Ostomy Association, P.O.
