Norma Gail White Sturges, 89, entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at home in Edgewood, NM. Norma was born February 28, 1915 to Mildred May and Clyde Van Scoyk at the family ranch near Stanley, NM. She was a lifelong resident of New Mexico, having lived in Stanley, Albuquerque, Grants, and Edgewood. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Fritz" Sturges; daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Carey; brother, Beryl Van Scoyk; and sister, Mildred Dennisson. She is survived by daughter, Norma Durrett and husband, James Durrett Jr. of Farmington, NM; son, Robert Duncan and wife, Carole Duncan of Edgewood, NM; granddaughter, Denise Mozingo of Denver, CO; grandsons, James Durrett III of Albuquerque, Ryan Duncan and Justin Duncan, both of Las Vegas, NV; step granddaughter, Stacie Campanelli of Chester, VA; and five great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Pastor Jim Thompson officiating.
