Obituary for RIGGLE

Lt. Col. Don Riggle, U.S. Air Force (Retired), 84, died on Sunday, August 1, 2004. He is survived by his son, Don E. Riggle, Jr., and wife, Karen Sue of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Trisha Pruett and husband, Bill, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Cptn. Kim Pruett- U.S. Air Force, of Macon, GA, Brian Pruett and wife, Karen; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth W. Riggle; and daughter, Dorothy Marie. Don was a member of Del Norte Baptist Church. He was a B-17 pilot during W.W. II and a P.O.W. after his plane was shot down. Don retired in 1971 after serving his country for over 29 years. He then taught math and electronics at TVI for 10 years. Don loved to travel and the outdoors, including fishing and hiking. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Del Norte Baptist Church, 5800 Montgomery Blvd. NE with Dr. Robert Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
