Maria (Nina) Aragon, 96, beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully joined the Lord on July 29, 2004. She lived in Albuquerque the majority of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Nina enjoyed going to Bingos, Casinos, and spending time with her large family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Chavez and Willie Aragon; and her son, Bobby Chavez. Nina is survived by her family members; Tommie Celaya, Flora Chavez, Charlotte Barreras and husband, Jerry, Rita Romero and husband, Leo, Anna Marie Blea and husband, Eddie, William Aragon and wife, Kathy, Cecilia Aragon, and Patti Bucklew; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Services and viewing will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 550 Atrisco Dr. SW on Monday, August 2, 2004. The viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW.
