Alex Gomez, 30, a resident of Albuquerque, died on July 24, 2004. He is survived by his parents, Angel and Betty Gomez of Albuquerque; sisters, Lisa Perea and husband, Carlos of Albuquerque and Jeannette Vallejos and husband, Franco of Albuquerque; brothers and best friends, Angel Gomez III and wife, Naomi of Rio Rancho, Aldric Gomez of New York and Gabriel Miguel Gomez of Albuquerque; maternal grandmother, Ofelia Candelaria of Albuquerque; paternal grandmother, Viola Gomez of Arizona; niece, Julia; nephews, Angel IV, Elijah, Isaac, Daniel and Benjamin, on the way. Alex is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Mike Candelaria and Angel Gomez; his great-grand-mother, Josie; nephews, Isaiah and Samuel; and uncle, Joseph. Alex was a member of Legacy Church. He was employed by Heritage Home Healthcare where he befriended many clients. Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Legacy Church, 7201 Central Ave. NW with Pastor Tony Ramirez, officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary - Westside Chapel on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may make contributions to the family.
