Obituary for ALDRIDGE

Caroline Aldridge, 67, died on July 17, 2004, following a short illness. She was a long term resident of Jackson, Mississippi, prior to moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico. In Mississippi she was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and later of Broadmoor Baptist Church. She worked at the Mississippi State Department of Health for 40 years before retirement in Albuquerque. In New Mexico Caroline became an active member of Hoffmantown Church and taught children's Sunday School classes. Caroline was also a dedicated volunteer with Noon Day Ministries and with children at the University of New Mexico Hospital. Caroline was and is well known for her love of children, her joyous celebration of the holidays and special occasions, and her giving nature. She is survived by her nieces, Vicky Keith and Dorothy Ripley, both of Albuquerque; her niece, Lucie Aldridge Fralicks of Bedford, TX; her nephew, James Aldridge of Beaumont,TX; and by great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Ruth Aldridge; her sister, Mary Ann Vittitoe; and her brother, James Aldridge. A memorial service for Caroline, conducted by Pastor Moore, will be held at Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, in Albuquerque, NM, on Thursday, July 22, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Noon Day Ministries, 101 Broadway Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
