Obituary for TOKARZ

Riley R. Tokarz, beloved husband and father, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the age of 86. He was born in Fall River, MA, the son of Mary and Ignacy Tokarz. Mr. Tokarz is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley; two sons, Richard and Stephen; one daughter, Cynthia Wright and her husband, Lance, and their two sons, Noah and Sage. The arrival of Noah and Sage made Riley and Shirley proud grandparents. Riley is also survived by his sister, Stephanie Considine and his brothers, Ted, Joseph and Fred Tokarz. Riley graduated from Louisiana State University. After graduation he entered the military, served in World War II as an officer in the Air Force, and after the war he continued to serve in the Air Force Reserves until he retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel. Riley and his family have lived in Albuquerque for many years during which time he owned and managed Sunland Decorator Supply with his son, Stephen. Riley enjoyed sports, especially tennis, which he and Shirley played into their mid-seventies. He also enjoyed the outdoors and frequently took his family on fishing trips. Throughout his life Riley was a devoted husband and father and lived an honorable life with integrity and love. Services will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2004, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 2:30 p.m. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
