Anthony V. Polito, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, July 17, 2004. He is survived by his sons, Robert A. Polito of Albuquerque and Roy E. Polito and wife, Sheri of Portland, OR; brother, Leo Polito and wife, Rose of Rock Island, IL; sister, Mary Wheiler of Sherrard, IL; grandchildren, Erin Deutsch and husband, Josh of Cincinnati, OH, Ryan Scribner and Katie Scribner, both of Portland, OR; and great-grandchild, Alexander Deutsch of Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Polito was preceded in death by his wife, Julie Polito in 1991. He served in WWII and belonged to the American Legion Post #13, the 40-8 and the VFW Post 401. Mr. Polito was very active in the community. He loved people, laughter, playing the accordion and was an avid bowler. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Ben Larzelere officiating.
