Obituary for LOVELACE

Ida Lovelace, 85, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004. She is survived by her son, Clifton L. Lovelace and wife, Marilyn of Hacienda Heights, CA; daughter, Kathy M. McCormack and husband, David of Grapevine, TX; son-in-law, Joe Grider of Jemez Springs, NM; grandchildren, Brian L. Lovelace of Whittier, CA, Criston M. Kibbee and wife, Alison of Keller, TX, Justin M. Grider and wife, Cori of Los Alamos, NM, and Jeffery M. Grider of Jemez Springs, NM; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kierson Kibbee and Madisen Grider; sisters, Ann Bell of Dallas, TX, and Bernice Young of Ft. Worth, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hershel L. Lovelace in May 1998 and daughter, Linda Grider in February 1999. Mrs. Lovelace was born in Tioga, Texas on March 16, 1919 and moved to Albuquerque in 1947. She was a member of Sandia Baptist and a previous member of Parkview Baptist Church and Riverside Baptist. She was very active in her church, teaching Sunday school, serving as President of W.M.U and currently a member of W.I.N.G.S. Mrs. Lovelace was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Pallbearers will be Justin M. Grider, Jeffrey M. Grider, Cris M. Kibbee, Brian L. Lovelace, Joe Grider, and Don Bell. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, July 16, 2004, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, 87110 or Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice, 8300 Constitution NE, 87110.
