Josephine J. Swensen, 78, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, July 4, 2004. Mrs. Swensen was a 1943 graduate of Albuquerque High School. She retired from the Census Bureau in 1987 after 11 years. She is survived by a niece, Barbara Myers and husband, Harold of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Francis Swensen of Bosque Farms, NM; sister-in-law, Dana Swensen of Albuquerque; grand niece, Jennifer Yardman and her children Setphanie, Daniel and Madison; grand nephew, Joel Bretz and wife, Rena. Mrs. Swensen was preceded death by her parents, a sister, a son and her husband of 50 years, Raymond Swensen. Cremation has taken place and no services will be scheduled.
