Obituary for MONGAR

Lt. Col. (Ret) Gradon E. Mongar, age 80, of Albuquerque passed into the wild blue yonder on July 2, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born October 6, 1923 in Palisade, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine; daughter, Carol of Albuquerque; son, David of Clovis; and his grandson, Christopher of Clovis. He was a fighter pilot in the U.S.A.F. for 27 years. He flew P-47's in Germany in WWII, and F-100's in Vietnam. His last assignment was Squadron Commander of the 524th at Cannon A.F.B. He retired in 1970. Following retirement he owned and operated Mongar's Clock & Antiques in Clovis, NM for eight years. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Thursday, July 8, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. The procession will leave the mortuary on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
