Louis Medina "Tata", passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2004. Louis was formerly of Grants, and currently a resident of Socorro. He was a Veteran of WWII, where he served in the United States Army Air Corps, in the Pacific Theater as a flight crew member of the B-17 Bomber. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus in Grants and in Socorro, and a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Grants and San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. In 1983, Louis retired from the Homestake Mines. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Trinnie and is survived by his daughter, Theresa Torres and husband, David; grandsons, Michael and wife, Autumn, David and wife, Guadalupe; great-grandchildren, Doug and Bryan Haworth, and Cameron David Torres. Viewing and services will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Grants, on Friday, July 9, 2004. The viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Rosary being recited at 10:00 a.m., concluded by the celebration of the Funeral Mass. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery.
