Obituary for MONGAR

Lt. Col. (Ret) Gradon E. Mongar, age 80, of Albuquerque passed into the wild blue yonder on July 2, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born October 6, 1923 in Palisade Nebraska. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine; daughter Carol of Albuquerque; son David of Clovis; and his grandson Christopher of Clovis. He was a fighter pilot in the U.S.A.F. for 27 years. He flew P-47's in Germany in WWII, F-100's in Vietnam. His last assignment was Squadron Commander of the 524th at Cannon A.F.B. He retired in 1970. Following retirement he owned and operated Mongar's Clock & Antiques, in Clovis for eight years. Public visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2004 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery, date and time to be announced. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
