Vivian Halthusen Black, 102, a resident of Albuquerque since 1913, died on Friday, July 2, 2004. She was born in Florissant, CO to William G. and Grace Halthusen. Vivian came to live in Albuquerque with her family in 1913. She attended Albuquerque High School and was later employed by the Veteran's Administration Hospital. She had been a member of the First Church of Christ Scientists and a lifetime member of Ada Chapter order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, William Randolph (Randy) in 1945, her husband William H. (Bill) Black in 1984, and her sister, Maxine Collins in 1999. She had been a resident of Montebello Retirement Community since 1993. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Camuglia and husband Joseph; three grandchildren, Rick Camuglia, Becky Rippel, and Cheryl Thompson and husband Nick; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Bethany Hillson. Cremation has taken place and Vivian's remains will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery beside her husband. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
