Howard "Ben" M. Jones. Our beloved husband, father and friend, age 81, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2004. Born May 24, 1923 in Warren, Ohio, Ben married Twila Jones on October 25th, 1944. A resident of Albuquerque since 1957, Howard was employed by ACF and General Electric Corporation until retirement in 1985. He was a gifted woodcarver, gardener and carpenter, and leaves family and friends with many keepsakes of his talent. Ben is survived by his wife of 59 years, Twila Jones. Children include son, Richard Jones and wife, Kerry of Lancaster, CA; daughter, Suzanne Gamble and husband, Harold of Walkersville, MD; daughter, Terry Maxey and husband, Ray of Farmington NM; and son, David Jones and wife, Carol of Albuquerque. Also surviving are sister, Madeleine Chambers and brother, Robert Jones of Warren, OH. Ben leaves his seven loving grandchildren with many fond memories; Shane Gamble, Bryan Maxey, Kim Miller, Megan Gamble, Jonathan Jones, Alex Jones and K.C. Jones. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Loveilla Jones, daughter Sherry, and brothers, Caleb, Almus, and John, all of Warren OH. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at La Vida Llena Retirement Community in Carter Hall, 10501 Lagrima de Oro NE, with Reverend Trey Hammond officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made in the name of Howard M. Jones to the Alzheimer's Association. Cremation arrangements are by Sunrise Funeral Options of Albuquerque.
