Mr. Raymond Lewis Holley, 81, of Lillian, AL, died at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL the morning of June 26, 2004. Born April 8, 1923 in Tolar, NM to Virgil S. Holley and Vera Smith Holley. Graduated from Eunice High School, Eunice, NM in 1940 and the family relocated to Artesia, NM in 1941. WWII Veteran in the US Army Air Corps February 1943-January 1946. Married to Nancy McCall Holley May 21, 1949 in Albuquerque, NM. Survivors include his wife Nancy, and children, Waldon Holley, Charleston, SC; Gayle Holley Spangler, Belmont, NC; Linda Holley Kapral, Atlanta, GA; Daniel Holley, Ellenwood, GA.; grandchildren: Sean (Tony) Holley, Greenvile, SC; Lance and Ashley Holley, Charleston, SC; Jodie Kapral Zerega, Atlanta, GA; Wendy Holley Padgett, Gastonia, NC; Angela Spangler Hastings, Charlotte, NC; Kelli and Andrew Holley, Ellenwood, GA; great-grandchildren: Landon, Lee, Lauren, and Savannah Holley; Tyler Frost; Caroline and Will Zerega. He is also survived by Gladys Turnipseed (sister) of Lovington, NM; Marvin (brother) and Rosalee Holley of Cypress, CA; brother-in-law Walter Bynum of Lakewood, CA. Preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, W.H. Hatler, and sisters, Mildred Holley McComack and Virgie Holley Bynum. Employed by Meads Bakery, Albuquerque, NM; retired from Smith Sunbeam Bakery in Pensacola, FL; relocated to Ellenwood, GA where he was ordained to the ministry by First Baptist Church, Ellenwood. For the past ten years, Raymond and Nancy Holley worked with Campers on Mission Organization and received assignments in Carlsbad and Espanola, NM and in North Dakota. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to the building fund at the Coronado Baptist Church, P.O. Box 51509, Espanola, NM 87532. A service was held Sunday, June 27, 2004 at West Pensacola Baptist Church. Mr. Holley will also be remembered Monday, June 28, 2004 at First Baptist Church Ellenwood, GA.
