Tony P. Sanchez, 68, born August 27, 1935 and a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, June 24, 2004. He is survived by his longtime companion, Phyllis Jean; children, Dolly and Rick Otero, Jeannie Sanchez, Tony and Doris Sanchez, and Ralph and Laura Sanchez; grandchildren, Dorinda and Chad Wingenbach, Kaiani Otero, Crystal and Nivardo Olvera, Lupe Sanchez, Desiree and Brittney Sanchez; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Otero and Aaron Olvera; brother and sisters, Leroy Sanchez, Cinda Baca, Flora Trujillo and Sophia Delgado; half-sisters and half-brother, Sylvia, Mary Lou, Gloria, Julia and Johnny Ray. Mr. Sanchez was a retired member of Iron Workers Local Union 495. Prayer services will be held Sunday, June 27, 2004, at 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary-Westside Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 28, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Family Worship Center, 5200 Iliff Rd NW, with Pastor Steve Ulibarri officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Chad Wingenbach, Nivardo Olvera, Johnny Sanchez, Joseph Troy, Audencio Saenz, Juan Salas, Eddie Aragon and John Aragon.
