Eloisa Lucero Alires, 96, a longtime resident of Albuquerque died Thursday, June 17, 2004. She was born January 21, 1908 in the community of La Joya near Pecos, NM. She was married to Patrick Alires who preceded her in death in 1950. She is survived by two sisters, Ramona Gonzales and husband Solomon; Florence Lucero; daughter, Patricia Alires Martin, Dorothy K. Holland; son, Tom Alires and wife, Lorraine all of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Rosary Service will be held Friday, June 25, 2004, 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Deacon Fabian Gagnon officiating. A celebration of her life will be with Fr. Lancaster of Sangre de Cristo Catholic Community Church on Candelaria NE, Sat., June 26, 2004, at 10:00 a.m.
