Obituary for MUFF

Wilbert A. Muff, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, June 14, 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Carole Case and her husband, Larry of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Kathy Lynn Case, Jean Ann Petmecky and her husband, Daniel of Albuquerque and Karen Christine Pino and her husband, Bill of Burleson, TX; and 4 great grandchildren, Alan, Michael, Loren and Ryan Petmecky all of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ethel on May 20, 1994. Wilbert was born June 25, 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Karl Peter Muff and Anna Christina Eckert. On July 23, 1938 Wilbert married his sweetheart Ethel Irene Foytik, and later moved to Albuquerque in 1947. He was employed by Eidal Mfg. Co. for 28 years as purchasing agent until his retirement. Wilbert was an accomplished artist and photographer and was a member of the chess club. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in many capacities during his lifetime. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. N.E., conducted by Bishop James Jeppson. Following services, interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wilbert's name to the Alzheimer's Association-NM Chapter at 8100 Mountain Rd. N.E., Suite 102, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
