Obituary for DANOFF

Bertha H. Danoff, 88, a native New Mexican, was born in Albuquerque June 8, 1916, and died June 10, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Hyman Danoff; two sons: Michael Danoff (Margo) of Albuquerque, and Robert Danoff (Eve) of Paradise Valley, AZ; one sister, Kathryn Rubin (Leon) of Raton, NM; and five grandchildren: Troy Danoff of Phoenix, AZ. Ryan and Brett Danoff of Tempe, AZ. and Max and Sam Danoff of Paradise Valley, AZ. Bertha was the owner of Bertha's Shoppe, a longtime Albuquerque establishment which specialized in custom ladies' hats. Years later she had a second career as a realtor. Bertha was a lifetime member of Congregation Albert and its Sisterhood, Hadassah, and Eastern Star. Bertha loved life to its fullest and always had a smile and kind word for everyone. She never knew a stranger. Bertha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, on Monday, June 14, at 4:00 PM with Rabbi Joe Black officiating. Pallbearers are Troy Danoff, Ryan Danoff, Brett Danoff, Leon Rubin, Randy Rubin, and Walter Kahn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Albert, or the charity of your choice. French's Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
