Gordon J. Husman, 75, retired USAF, loving husband of Sheila Husman, father of sons Eric Husman of Las Cruces, and Mark Husman of Albuquerque, and daughter Stephanie Telge and husband Frank, died on Friday, June 4, 2004 after a long battle with Leukemia. Gordon had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1968. After retiring from the USAF, Gordon worked for Control Data Corporation, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community and Knights of Columbus. Gordon loved sports, especially soccer and racquetball. He was the first soccer coach at La Cueva High School and numerous other teams for over 20 years. A prayer vigil will be recited on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at Risen Savior Catholic Community. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in care of Stephanie Telge, 3150 Carlisle NE, Suite 35, 87110.
