Roger P. Anderson, 85, Rockton, IL died at 12:29 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004 in Beloit Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Born November 20, 1918 in Rockton, IL the son of Bernard & Bertha (Berry) Anderson. Returned to his home in 1986 after living in various states. Married Beverly Ann Telfair in Dubuque, IA in 1940. Beverly passed away in 1975 and he then married Eunice M. Schewe in Roscoe, IL in 1976. Roger was employed as a design draftsman by Sandia National Lab in Albuquerque, NM, retiring in 1981. Member of Mountain View Baptist Church, Tijeras, NM. Survivors include wife Eunice M. Anderson, Rockton, IL; son Roger P. (Jana) Anderson, Jr. Boerne, TX, son Dennis R. (Willa) Anderson, Moriarty, NM; daughter Launa (Will) Whitton, Dunnellon, FL; son Robert (Fran) Schewe, South Beloit, IL; twelve Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren; sisters Beryl (Ira) Williams Clinton, WI and Evelyn (Don) Williams, South Beloit, IL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Funeral Ceremonies will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 in McCorkle Funeral Home 767 N Blackhawk Blvd, Rockton, IL with the Reverend Norman Starks officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a .m. till time of funeral Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Beloit Memorial Hospice.
