Thomas John Abbin, Sr., 60, a life long resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, May 16, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Lonnie Abbin of Albuquerque; daughters, Barbara Abbin and Brenda Repichowski and husband, Joe of Albuquerque; son, Tommy Abbin and wife, Dianne of Rio Rancho; five grandchildren, and a brother, Joe Abbin of Albuquerque. Tom was a graduate of St. Pius X High School, class of 1962. He was an award winning retail store manager for Piggly Wiggly and later a top salesman for the McCormick Company. "Smiling Tom" as he was often called, was a hard working, dedicated family man who inspired trust and confidence in his family, friends and co-workers. Services will be at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brothers of the Good Shepherd, 10127 Guadalupe Trail, NW, 87114.
