Katherine E. Betts; 91 passed away at a local hospital on Sunday, May 16, 2004. Katherine a long time resident of Albuquerque is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin O. Betts and one grandchild, Patrick. Mrs. Betts is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean Whalen of Leesberg, Fl.; and son, Ervin Betts of Westport, Conn.; grandchildren, Tim Betts, Tim Whalen, Anna Louise Whalen, Emily Whalen-Wells, Kevin Whalen and Andrew Betts; great- grandchildren, Blair and Zoey Betts, Michaela Whalen, and Cambria and Max Wells. Katherine was a member of the First Christian Science Church. Mrs. Betts was an administrative assistant with the U. S. Navy in Rhode Island. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Albuquerque Animal Shelter.
