Lannie Spencer, 89, a longtime resident of Belen, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2004. She was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her parents Rev. W.W. and Tennie Williams and her husband, Sammy Spencer in 1981. She is survived by her daughter and loving caregiver Dollie Foxx and her husband, Titus, of Belen; her sister Tennie M. Brooks of Albuquerque; and her grandchildren, Samantha, William and Allure, all of Belen. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 17 at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 316 57th Street SW, with Rev. F.H. Cates officiating. Cremation will follow after the services.
