Joseph J. Platt, 86, born March 3, 1918 in Worchester, Massachusetts passed away May 13, 2004. He was in the Army Air Force durign WWII as a pilot trainer. He was employed by Sandia Laboratories in New Mexico and Pantex in Amarillo. Mr. Platt was an avid bridge player and achieved the Grand Master of Bridge status. He was a member of Top Hatters and of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Elizabeth in 1976; his wife, Margaret in 1983 and his wife, Bettye in 2003. He is survived by three sons, John Platt and wife, Kathy of Chicago, IL, Jeffy Platt of Euless, TX and Gregory Platt of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter; Patti Platt of McKenna, WA; five grandchildren, Colleen Doenges and husband, Dan of Chicago, IUL, Kendra Platt of Arlington, TX, Keely Platt of Arlington, TX, Sean Platt of Chicago, IL and Gregory James Platt of McKenna, WA; special friend, Juanita Holtzclaw of Amarillo and many other close friends. Funeral Services will be Monday, May 17, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Msgr. Joseph Tash as Celebrant.
