Obituary for WOOTTON

Shirley L. Wootton passed away on Thursday May 6, 2004 after a valiant but short fight against several illnesses. Shirley was preceded in death by her oldest son Bill. Shirley is survived by her husband of 48 1/ 2 years William (Bill), her Daughter Margaret Clemons and husband James, and hers Sons Bruce and Mike Wootton. She is also survived by her Grandchildren of whom she was so proud, William and Jerry Clemons and Kari Wootton, as well as numerous In-laws, Nieces and Nephews. She was born on May 3, 1934 in Grand Falls Texas, and grew up in Jacksonville, TX. She attended Lon Morris Junior College and Texas Western (UTEP) where she met her future husband. Shirley's interests were many, from traveling, to the theatre, arts and crafts, but the things she really loved doing was Genealogy, going to Scorpions games, and spending time with family. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Lovelace Oncology and Intensive Care Unit for the care and compassion given to Shirley and her family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 10:00 a.m. in the Mt. Calvary Chapel, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Inurnment will follow the Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
