Obituary for MORTON

Mildred Carroll Morton joined Our Heavenly Father surrounded by her husband and close family on Sunday, May 9, 2004. Mildred was born in Texas and as a child, she and her family moved to New Mexico in 1936. Mildred and her husband Richard were married 42 yrs. They worked for Brown Construction, Co until their retirement in 1981. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Richard and her poodle, Ginger; a son, C.T. Cunningham and wife, Sylvia of Alamo, Texas and a daughter, Shirley Kay Van Rockel and husband Ken of California; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also of Texas. Services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, beginning with a visitation on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 12:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will then take place with interment to follow at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
