Obituary for SNIDOW

Ronald Dale Snidow of Albuquerque, NM died April 29 after a 2-year fight with cancer. Ron lived a life of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and trusted God to save his soul. Ron was 73 years young and was born in Paris, Missouri. He was employed for 35 years at Sandia Laboratories as project engineer and established the scientific glass lab in 1959. Ron was an expert in the field of scientific glass blowing. He won several awards for his innovative work in the Nuclear Weapons Program as well as other research areas. Ron is survived by his wife of 53+ years, Theda; daughter, Rhonda and her husband Rick Mitchell of Roswell, NM; son Chris and his wife, Cindy of College Station, TX; daughter, Randi and her husband Jerry Burkholder of Albuquerque; one brother, Gordon and wife Grace of Ruidoso, NM; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew whom he loved dearly, and numerous extended beloved family members. He is proceeded in death by his father, James Gordon Snidow and his mother, Rita Francis Snidow. Ron has served in the church faithfully over the years as a deacon, with the youth department, and through innumerable building projects. He felt extremely blessed that all his children grew to become full-time servants in the Lord's work. He was currently a member of Temple Baptist Church in Albuquerque. Ron was deeply loved by all his family, and many brothers and sisters in Christ. He will be greatly missed until reunited at the coming of our Lord. Services will be held Monday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 1613 Arizona.
