Obituary for TEAL

Evelyn V. Teal, age 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1992 died April 7, 2004. Evelyn was born September 14, 1915 to John T. and Hazel D. (Mehaffey) Redman in Anaheim, CA. She moved to Colorado with her parents in 1916 and grew up on a farm at Gilcrest, CO. She attended school there and graduated from the Bible Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Evelyn was a homemaker and active in the churches her husband, the Rev. Frank Teal was pastor. She was a Sunday school teacher and assisted at the organ and piano. The Teals served churches in Cheyenne, WY, Marion, Ohio and Greeley, CO. They traveled two and a half years in Evangelism throughout many states. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend Frank Teal, October, 1983. Survivors are two daughters, Virginia Sumlin Burrell and Patty Zemke, both of Albuquerque, NM, five grandchildren, Linda Sumlin Sink, Gary Sumlin, Brenda Sumlin, Babette Stirland, and Nanette Wright; and six great-grandchildren. A sister, Margorie Bricker; and a brother, Thomas D. Redman are deceased. Graveside services, Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley, CO will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2004.
