Sofie Sanchez, 68, went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2004. She was born on January 26, 1936 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Maes and husband Matthew and Anna Newman and husband Richard; brothers, Paul Alderette and wife sally, Telles Alderette and wife Pauline, Leo Alderette and wife Rosie and Roman Alderette and wife Dodie; sisters, Josephine Finley and husband Skip and Rose Gonzales; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Sanchez will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations will be held on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary.
