Obituary for MADRID

Frank "Papa" Madrid, age 82, died Friday, April 9, 2004. He was a resident of Albuquerque since 1984. Frank is survived by his son, James C. Madrid and wife Rita of Atlanta, GA; daughter Patricia D. Pertner and husband Gerald Allen of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Shaun Pertner and wife Renee, Jacob Pertner, Nick Pertner all of Albuquerque, Chris Madrid and Elisa Madrid of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Angelique, and Adriana; sister, Irene Lovato; niece, Jessica Torres, and nephew, Jude Lovato. Dear friend and care giver Helen Carillo. Frank was preceded in death by wife of 44 years Margaret in 1991 and sister Rose Chavez in 2001. He was a WWII POW for 12 months in Europe. He was a Purple Heart Recipient and retired from the State of New Mexico Department of Taxation and Revenue, Director of Data Processing. Frank was a life member of American Ex POW Chapter #1 and a life member of DAV former treasurer and VFW Post #401. In lieu of flowers you can make your donations to Parkinson's Foundation, 710 W 168th Street, New York, NY 10032. Rosary will be held Monday, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 12 noon at Queen of Heaven Church, 5310 Claremont NE, 87110. Pallbearers will be Shaun Pertner, Jacob Pertner, Nick Pertner, Chris Madrid and Jude Lovato and Honorary Pallbearer E. M. Lucero.
