Ulysses "Buddy" Gutierrez, 69, born February 16, 1935 passed away on April 9, 2004. Buddy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sandra K. of the family home; father of Ronald N. Gutierrez and wife; Edna, Eric C. Gutierrez and wife; Karen, Deborah VanEvery and husband; Noel, Michael Anaya and wife; Carla; eldest grandchild; Felicia Anaya; and eight other grandchildren; one brother, Raymond "Monchie" Gutierrez and wife, Pauline; two sisters, Clara Belle Gallegos and husband, Tony and Ella Chavez; eight nephews; and eight nieces. Buddy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a multi-talented artist, retired from the U.S. Postal Service, active with the Palo Duro Community Center and his cooking was the focal point of every holiday. Rosary for Buddy will the held Sunday, April 11, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 12, 2004 at 10:00.
