Obituary for BONNER

A. Joe Bonner, 70, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth H. Bonner of Albuquerque; two sons, Joe Wesley Bonner and wife, Lynn of Albuquerque, and Arthur Lee Bonner and wife, Cathy of Houston, TX; five grandchildren Meredith, Matthew, Waylon, Wayne and Cheyenne Bonner; two sisters, Dorothy Walker and husband, George and Glenna Duff both of Albuquerque; two brothers, Austin Bonner and wife, Lucille of Los Alamos, NM and Jesse Bonner and wife, Judy of Bryson, TX. Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leon. He attended Calvary Chapel. In earlier years he had been very active with Prison Ministries and Full Gospel. Mr. Bonner was a graduate of Santa Fe High School, where he played football and basketball. He worked at Rust Tractor and Kirtland AFB on heavy equipment. Mr. Bonner enjoyed the outdoors - especially hunting with his sons and traveling with his wife. Services were held Friday, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Pastor Tom Beach officiating. Interment followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
