Elena (Helen) Castillo, age 75, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt was called home by our Heavenly Father, Friday, April 2, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Castillo. Helen is survived by her children, Phillip Rudy Rapisura, Benjamin Marshall Rapisura, Laura Sampaga and husband Richard, and Julia Linda Bruno and husband Enrique; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Chris Perea and wife Jane; niece, Phelita Butler; nephews, Bobby and Jerry Refuerzo; close friend, Tressia Childers; and many other beloved relatives and friends. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, in Bernalillo; followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
