Maria (Fidelia) Vigil , 70, born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on October 30, 1933 to Raquela Lucero and Edwardo Aragon. She was a resident of Albuquerque and a catholic parishioner of the Church of the Ascension. She is preceded in death by her sons, Victor Vigil and Michael Vigil. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jose Vigil; daughter, Jeanne Michael and husband Raymond Trujillo; sons, Henry Vigil and wife Lucy, Jesse Vigil, Leroy Vigil, Joseph Vigil and Don Vigil; step-daughter, Yolanda Herrera; sisters, Barbara Lujan and Olimpia Gallegos and husband Fred; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension. Interment will follow at the Pajarito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ida Guy, Denise Chavez, Carla Vigil Jessica Vigil, Monica Maestas, Frances Matta, Michael Lovato and Lorenzo Vigil.
