Obituary for POGAN

Mona La V Pogan, a resident of Albuquerque for 70 years, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2004. She was born March 25, 1926 in Rule, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and V Annis Yarbrough and two sisters. Mona is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Pogan; her son, Roy Pogan Jr. and wife Corazon; grandson Danny Pogan and wife Rosemary; two great- grandchildren, Quentin and Tara of Roswell; daughter Kathryn Pogan and grandsons Michael and Matthew Sanchez, of Albuquerque; three brothers; two sisters and their families; many other family, friends and neighbors who loved and will miss her. She welcomed all into her home and devoted her early life to her family. Mona supported and followed her husband in his construction career, and developed an interest in Native American arts and crafts, which lead to antiques and collectables. Mona enjoyed many years of researching, restoring, and marketing her finds. A visitation and service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bernalillo, NM, 325 Avenida de Bernalillo, on Monday, March 29, 2004. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 2:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Danny Pogan, Michael Sanchez, Matthew Sanchez, Jerry Pogan, Bill Yarbrough, and Mark Yarbrough.
