Justo "Joe" Lopez, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1930, died Sunday, March 21, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Salome Lopez; daughter, Vangie Lopez, both of Albuquerque; son, Ben Lopez of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Laura C. Johnson and husband, George; granddaughters, Renee Johnson and Ana Johnson; brother, Fred Lopez and wife, Jane, all of Albuquerque; and many nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Gabriela Nieto reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW, with Father Ronald Gonzales, S.J., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Herrera, Dan Vasquez, Phil Montoya, Perfecto Garcia, Andy Garcia and Richard Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Herrera and Fidel Trujillo.
