Obituary for TRUJILLO

Eliza Borrego Trujillo, 77, our beloved mother, sister and friend, passed on to a beautiful life with the Lord, after an illness with Diabetes and Cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Beroniz Borrego, her husband of 51 years, Ismael (I.M.), an infant son, Joseph Mel, five brothers, including Joe, Ross, a twin brother, Fabian, Ernesto and Ruben. Eliza is a direct descendent of the Spanish settler Pedro Lucero de Godoy, who established Los Luceros, New Mexico in 1600. Eliza is survived by her loving sons, Matthew and Mark from the family home. She is also survived by her sisters, Theresa and husband, Charles Radosevich, Marie Pacheco and Tita Archuleta; brothers, Henry, Rumaldo and wife, Mary Louise, and Placido and wife, Delfina; two sisters-in-law, Margie and Sally Borrego. She is also survived by the Trujillo Family members, Alicia and Pete Serna, Rose Segura, Cleo and Louie Peralta, Floyd, Arturo and Polo Trujillo. Eliza was a member of the Santa Cruz de la Canada Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Family Coro. She attended Santa Cruz High School and the Chillicothe Business College in Missouri. Eliza and her husband, Ismael started the Espanola Construction Co. in 1951 and were active in business in the Espanola Valley for many years. Eliza was also a Fiesta de Onata Princess during the first Onate Fiesta de Espanola. Mrs. Trujillo is survived by many loving family members, friends and neighbors. She was a loving mother and sister. Our visiting angel of the Lord has returned home. Eliza requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dominican Sisters Convent of the Santa Cruz de la Canada Church in Santa Cruz, New Mexico. A rosary for repose of the soul of Eliza Borrego Trujillo will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the Santa Cruz de la Canada Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. by Fr. Miguel Mateo. Arrangements through Block-Salazar Mortuary of Espanola, NM. 1-800-433-4854
