Obituary for DUKE-WOODSIDE

Dr. Marilyn Duke-Woodside, 62, a resident of Prairie Village, Kansas, died at her home on Wednesday, March 10, 2004. MarilynE. Duke was born at Portland, Oregon on January 19, 1942, the daughter of Duane C. and Elizabeth (Naylor) Duke. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Standerwick of Emporia, Kansas, Shauna Wallace of Houston, Texas; her parents, Duane C. and Elizabeth Duke of Lake Oswego, Orego; sister, Janice Pindelle-Glide of Oregon and seven grandchildren. Dr. Duke-Woodside received her B.S. and R.N. at the University of Oregon, and her M.D. from the University of New Mexico. She practiced in Albuquerque, New Mexico and at the Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, and most recently at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. She was a member of the Hillcrest Covenant Church, Prairie Village, Kansas, and the Christian Medical and Dental Society. Memorial services will be held at the Hillcrest Covenant Church in Prairie Village, Kansas, Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one prior to the memorial service. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Emporia, Kansas. The Monday services will be conducted by the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Kansas.
