Ms. Rita Lopez, 52, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on March 9, 2004. Rita is survived by her mother, Rita Lynn; her brother, Vincent G. Lopez; her sister, Amelia Lopez; her father, Gilbert Lopez; a long time friend, Leanne Lockin; a niece, Jolene Atchison; a nephew, Guy V. Lopez; her K-9 Companion, Chesco; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Rita was a member of the Catholic Church, a teacher at St. Mary's Catholic Church for the past 12 years and has been a dedicated teacher for 30 years. A visitation for Rita will be Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial to celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW by Father Richard Mcgowan.
