Obituary for RODRIGUEZ

Rev. Manuel Rodriquez, 78, of Albuquerque, died Monday, March 8, 2004. He was born in Caibarien, Cuba and has resided 42 years in the United States with 20 years in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dinorah Rodriquez of Albuquerque; 3 daughters, Mory Marsjanik and husband, Gary of Albuquerque, Nancy Crane and son-in-law, Jonathan Crane, both of Homestead, FL, and Noila Rodriguez of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Amee Van Saun and husband, Mike, Laurel Maguire and husband, Ian, Colin Crane and Marc Marsjanik; great-grandsons, Jake and Aiden Maguire; brothers, Dr. B.J. Rodriquez and wife, Ruby of Barry, IL and Tony Rodriquez and wife, Telvy of Newark, NJ; sisters, Graciela Rodriquez of Newark, NJ and Alicia Veiga and husband, Juan of Corpus Christi, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Manuel was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. He has pastored Presbyterian churches in Cuba, New Jersey, Illinois and Florida. Manuel retired from Second Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque after 40 faithful years in the ministry. He was a member of the Optimist Club. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and a faithful servant of the Lord. Manuel will be missed by his family, friends and all those who he had the opportunity to minister to over the years. Memorial services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Second Presbyterian Church, 808 Edith NE, with Rev. Robert Woodruff and Rev. Jaime Quinones officiating.
