George Homer Nicholson, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, March 8, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mavis Nicholson of Albuquerque, Patricia Shrinkle and husband, Lou of San Diego, CA, Rhonda Capps and husband, Mike of Wichita Falls, TX, Robert Nicholson and wife, Cynthia of Austin, TX, and Katie Sanders and husband, Darryl of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Tina, Scott, Shiela, Susan, Steven, Sydney, Spencer, and Sarah; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Nicholson in 1987 and daughter, Georganne in 1986. He was retired from the Federal Government working for the BIA. Mr. Nicholson was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He had a great love of cars and loved fishing, boating, and traveling. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at Asbury United Methodist Church, 10000 Candelaria NE, with Rev. Roland McGregor officiating.
