Obituary for GUTIERREZ

Adrian Gutierrez, 77, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the family home; son, John Gutierrez and wife, Liz of Albuquerque; three daughters, Christine Buckler and husband, Tim; Gerri Campbell and husband, Chris; Evelyn DeCosta and husband Dwayne all of Albuquerque; four brothers, Jose Dolores, Benito, Perfecto, and Frank; a sister, Frances Herrera; twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Rev. Danny Gutierrez. He was raised in Chama where he began his teaching career. He served in the US Army in the Korean War. He taught, was a principal and a coach at Chama. He moved to Albuquerque and retired from Old Town Elementary. He and Dorothy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. He had been very involved in ministries to the homeless and those in need. He took great pleasure in giving and helping people. He was a great husband and father. He will be greatly missed by all. Services will be Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Evangel Christian Center, 4501 Montgomery Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, Friday, March 5, from 6:00 p.m. until Rosary. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
